Leading all creative aspects within a small event team, our goal was to maximize profits for donation. The nature of the event required us to provide enjoyable activities for all ages and maximize transitional space in a spread-out venue. With our primary event attendee age at 18-24 we explored a more playful approach to logo design and engaging Snapchat event filters. We wanted to provide a laid back opportunity for golfers and non-golfers alike to feel comfortable engaging with us and donating to our cause.
Event elements included: Live acoustic music, on-site sponsored grill out, corn hole tournament, silent auction.
Two key revenue generators within the event were a collaboration with a local boutique and a “putt for booze” event. We provided the boutique with an opportunity to showcase their clothing and in return they donated 15% of any profits made at the event that night to our cause. We took a gamble at targeting people’s competitive side by inviting them to pay $5 for a chance to hit one of many bottles of donated liquor, beer, or wine set out on the green. Whatever they hit they were able to keep. This provided a competitive way for people to bet on their own abilities andsubsequently ended up being one of the highest profiting stations of the night.
Pink Out the Links raised over $8k in donations while spending < $900 for all event costs.
